SCMCC
Sengsourigna Children’s Music Center (SCMCC) is working under the umbrella of Social Science Researchers Art of Speaking Promotion Association or SRASPA.
The inspiration for the Center came about in 1982 in Sihome Village. There Noi Sengsourigna’s father ran the Traditional Music Center. At that time children came to the Center and played in the traditional band called “Red Flower.” The red flower is the symbol for passion. And it was then that Noi discovered her passion – giving the gift of music so children can learn, thrive and even heal.
What does SCMCC do?
SCMCC is devoted to teaching dance, music and Lao culture to Lao children in Shihone primary schools and other locations. In addition to dance and music, children are taught painting, drawing, reading, storytelling and other graphic arts.

Our teaching goals are to:
• Promote educational achievement to children through music and culture.
• Preserve the Lao cultural heritage and music for the younger generation.
• Develop the natural talents of children for art, music and dance.
• Strengthen children’s creativity for all aspects of their lives through art, music and dance.

Who are the children and where do they come from?
Our children come from all different backgrounds and conditions. Some are severely disadvantaged street children, others have physical and mental challenges and others are normal children in need of the gift of stimulation that participation in the arts provides all humankind.

What are the fees for teaching the children?
The teaching is provided without charge. Basic needs for the program is also provided free of charge. These items include: art supplies, costumes, books and musical instruments.

Where does the money come from?
Noi supports the program through benefit performances of her music and from the sale of CDs produced by Sengsourigna Studio.

Noi's a talented musician since a little young girl and now she is willing to help the children to have a better future. The only way you help, and support Sengsourigna Children’s Music Center (SCMCC) is to order Noi's CD, VCD and DVD. This money can distribute to support the Center for the better place for the Children.
